Menuchin said that these sanctions can be targeted at anyone involved in the Turkish government.

Menuchin said that Trump is concerned that Turkey may target civilians, private infrastructure, ethnic minorities or minority religious groups, and hopes that Turkey cannot “allow any Islamic State (IS) fighters to escape.”
