US President Trump said today that he is willing to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at a certain point later this year to restart the denuclearization negotiations.

North Korea said on the 9th that it is willing to restart negotiations with the United States later this month. Trump made the above remarks to the media when he left the White House today.

A number of policy analysts said that Trump’s expulsion of national security adviser John Bolton may help Washington and North Korea restart talks, but the United States’ attempt to persuade Pyongyang to abandon its nuclear weapons will not be smooth.

Since June 2018, Trump and Kim Jong-un have met three times.
