At the request of the Congress, the United States will strengthen the implementation of the US-Mega trade agreement to replace NAFTA.


Foreign President Larry Kudlow said today that at the request of the Democratic House of Representatives, the White House will strengthen its enforcement mechanism to replace the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Reuters reported that the Trump administration is pushing Congress to replace the 25-year NAFTA with the USMCA.

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Democratic Party, told reporters yesterday that the USMCA bill itself must have enforcement provisions.

Democratic lawmakers insist that Mexico must protect labor rights. The Mexican Senate passed a reform bill on April 30 that respects the rights of labor unions and allows them to gain more control over contracts.
